According to Republican Congressman Mike Lawler, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has reversed the cancellation of local naturalization ceremonies across New York.

U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services says people affected by the cancellations will still be able to continue the naturalization process.

Cornell University announced Friday that it will pay $30 million dollars directly to the federal government. Another $30 million will go to “research programs that will directly benefit U.S. farmers through lower costs of production and enhanced efficiency.”

Voters cast ballots in local races across the region Tuesday. Results are unofficial until all votes have been counted and certified by the state’s board of elections.

Polls are open until 9 p.m. in New York and 8 p.m. in Pennsylvania.
