Celebrate America 250 with an art contest for kids 0-18 years old sponsored by the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution! During the month of April stop into the Library to pick up a blank sheet of paper, an entry form, and review the instructions. The contest celebrates the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States and encourages young artists to reflect on America’s past, present, and future.
Contest Guidelines:Open to children ages 18 and underArtwork must celebrate America’s 250th birthdayUse of any artistic medium is permittedArtwork must be in shades of red, white, blue, and yellowOptional text is limited to a maximum of four words (note: “America250” counts as one word)All entries must be submitted to a participating library by April 30
The 1st place winner will have a one month local billboard feature of their artwork! Another 25 kids will have their art displayed on the digital billboard in Ithaca near the DAR office throughout the upcoming months.
Tioga Arts Council (TAC) is pleased to present its Tioga County Middle & High School Student Exhibition. It will open on First Friday, April 3, from 5 - 8 p.m. at 179 Front St., Owego. After the opening, the exhibition will be on view from April 4 - 25, 2026, Wed. through Sat. from 12 - 4 p.m..The exhibition features work from Candor, Newark Valley, Owego, Spencer Van Etten, and Tioga Central. If you are new to Digital SLR cameras or have had one for a while and just want to become more familiar with its workings and how to improve your photos, this is the class for you! This class will go through your camera’s menu and inner workings, as well as images to show how they affect your pictures.
During this class you will learn what buttons and functions on your camera may help improve the use of your camera to help you spend less time making changes and more time taking pictures. Learning about shutter speed and apertures will be discussed to learn their importance in image making. Students should have their cameras, USB cable and instruction manual.

“The Golden Girls” meets “Sex in the City”! “The Sweet Delilah Swim Club” by Jones Hope Wooten is a hilarious, heart-bursting story of five women and their annual girls’ weekend on the Outer Banks at The Sweet Delilah Cottage. Sheree, Dinah, Lexie, Jeri-Neal, and Vernadette, originally college swim teammates, see each other through more than thirty years of ups and downs with fierce devotion as well as fierce honesty. The comedy features local actors Michelle Benjamin, Kimberly Canale, Robin Gaige, Gail Lewis, and Melissa Norton who take their characters from their mid forties to their late seventies over two acts.
Expansion Pack performs the premier long-form comedy show in the Greater Binghamton area. Zany, interactive and fun! It's not stand-up comedy but unscripted, ensemble, comedy creations magically crafted from audience suggestions and no two shows are exactly the same! Act One, Welcome to the Cinema Saver is a unique long form originated here and created as a nod to the former occupants of the building. After a short intermission, Act Two features an interview with a volunteer audience member(s). The Expansion Pack players then incorporate details of that interview into a zany series of scenes that consume the entire second act!
