The Cranberry Coffeehouse is delighted to welcome back guitarist and singer-songwriter Hiroya Tsukamoto, two-time 2nd place winner of International Fingerstyle Guitar Championship. Hiroya began playing the five-string banjo when he was thirteen, and took up guitar shortly after. Originally from Japan, Hiroya came to the United States in 2000 upon receiving a scholarship to the Berklee College of Music. He formed the Boston-based group INTEROCEANICO (inter-oceanic) with musicians from around the world, including Latin Grammy Colombian singer Marta Gomez. The group released three acclaimed records (“The Other Side of the World”, “Confluencia” and “Where the River Shines”). Hiroya has released five solo albums. and has been performing internationally, including several appearances at the United Nations, Japanese National Television (NHK), and the famed Blue Note in New York City.

With the release of their 2023 album ‘Angels in the Wreckage’ (produced by Dirk Powell), the Vermont-based American Roots band Low Lily brought their infectious sound to a new level. With the energy of fiddle music, the introspective quality of contemporary folk, the precision of bluegrass, and the drive of Americana, the members of Low Lily (Liz Simmons, Flynn Cohen, and Natalie Padilla) combine their individual talents into one stunning soundscape.
Low Lily has shared their signature sound with enthusiastic audiences throughout North America and the UK, garnering two #1 songs on international folk radio and two Independent Music Award wins. In 2018, the band released a full-length album with 2X award-winning title track “10,000 Days Like These" and their original song “Hope Lingers On”, which has been sung by choirs around the world as an anthem for peace and justice.

The Mentor-Student Program seeks volunteer mentors to work one on one with school-age students of various ages who benefit from having a positive adult role model in their lives. This opportunity involves training, support, and meeting with your student twice a week after school. This is a win/win experience for both the student and the mentor as you learn and grow with each other. Students are waiting and your support is needed now. MAQ is a musical ensemble based in Ithaca, NY comprised of some of the area's best seasoned jazz and Brazilian-music musicians. Its members have individually toured throughout the United States and Europe, in venues from concert halls to clubs, performing everything from classic and modern jazz to Brazilian bossa and folk music.
MAQ will play the 1st and 3rd Mondays.

This program is designed to assist women, minorities, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and dislocated workers in Broome, Chenango, Delaware and Tioga counties.
